Description
These are a few of my best images from a recent outing with my “Shutter to Think” photo group to the Marjorie Mcneely Conservatory at Como Park and Zoo in St Paul MN. The place was not lit up internally by artificial lights like I was hoping so we made the best of it. This might even be better this way.
The Marjorie McNeely Conservatory in Como Park, St. Paul, MN, is a beautiful botanical garden and conservatory that's part of the larger Como Park Zoo & Conservatory complex. It's named after Marjorie McNeely, the wife of local businessman and philanthropist William Marshall, who donated funds for its construction in the early 20th century. The conservatory features several distinct wings, each showcasing different ecosystems and plant species, including tropical plants, ferns, palms, orchids, and seasonal flower displays. It's a popular destination for locals and visitors alike, offering a peaceful escape into nature regardless of the season.
